Gerardo Alfredo M. Bisnar

Gerardo Alfredo M. Bisnar is the Principal of Bisnar & Associates. He is a dual-qualified commercial lawyer, admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2011 and as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2023, with 15 years of experience across private practice, government service, and senior in-house roles.

Gerardo served for four years as Legal Counsel at the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), where he advised bids and awards committees on public procurement valued at over USD 200 million, enforced the terms of gaming licenses, and handled commercial contracts, criminal prosecutions, and administrative proceedings.

From 2015 to 2022, he practiced in Myanmar as a Senior Foreign Consulting Attorney with Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd., seconded as in-house counsel to a national telecommunications joint venture while supervising a team of lawyers and paralegals. His work covered network infrastructure and site leasing, wholesale telecommunications agreements, SaaS and cloud licensing, power supply contracts, development-loan-financed infrastructure, consumer and B2B terms and conditions, and the registration and enforcement of a portfolio of more than 150 trademarks.

He currently leads the legal and compliance function for the online gaming operations of a major Philippine integrated resort operator, with responsibility for commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, licensing support, and coordination on anti-money laundering, responsible gaming, and data protection programs.

Through Bisnar & Associates, Gerardo handles non-contentious commercial and civil matters: contract drafting, review, and negotiation; transaction support and investment structuring; settlement negotiation and documentation; and estate planning and wills. He advises clients in English, Filipino, and Ilonggo (Hiligaynon).

Gerardo holds a Juris Doctor from the Ateneo Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University.
